About the themes: PART 01

About the themes: PART 01

Themes are a major part of the overall Mega Mixable Live (M2L) experience.

Come to think of it, themes were among the original ideas that made it into the first ever project brainstorm for M2L.

For that reason, themes will also play a very significant role in the Metal Mixable Live Revolution (M2L-R) experience.

And things are looking beyond expectations in this department.

M2L presented themes in a very linear fashion with end users browsing through the selection of 47 themes in a cyclic manner.

While this was the most logical manner to present themes to the end user with the goal of not having to access another menu, there was still a lot of room for improvement.

M2L-R is still in development, and it already has 300+ themes. That's a significant jump from anything seen thus far on M2L.

With so many themes available, it would be a nightmare to cycle through them all in a linear manner.

For that reason, the decision was made to extend the linear implementation of themes in M2L, and place them into categories with themes grouped according to their types in M2L-R.

Themes will be broken down into 6 categories namely:

- Colour Themes: These are the most basic of all M2L-R themes. They are essentially the base deck with various colour variations based on the current M2L HEX CODES and theme names.

- Artistic Themes: These are themes that come in various colours and with some art depicted on it (e.g. logos, pencil sketches e.t.c.).

- The Gold Series: These are a premium set of themes that come on a metallic gold plate with artistic engraving.

By categorizing themes according to their type, end users can move between categories and then cycle through the themes available to reach their desired selection.

Themes will also have an ID number. This could just be a simple Integer. This is important because it will allow end users jump to a specific theme based on the ID number it has.

There is also a nice surprise in themes department that will be saved for a future date ๐Ÿ˜‰. This is a feature that is currently in development and is 'experimental' as it stands.

If you haven't seen the first official preview of M2L-R with a few themes on display, you can watch the video here:

The development of M2L-R has been fun so far, and I can't wait to show you what else is in store for this unique intellectual property.

In the meantime ?
